No. Basic day-to-day cleaning is identical.
Attic stock refers to extra planks provided with your original order. These boards are from the same production batch and finish lot, ensuring consistent color and grain match for future repairs or additions. Typically, we recommend ordering at least 10% above your actual SF coverage to allow for waste during installation. It is highly recommended that you order an additional 3-5% to set aside for any required future repairs.

This will depend on the amount of traffic and the type of traffic your floor experiences, as well as the expectations you have around small scratches and areas of daily high traffic wear. Many of our floors have never been sanded, while other have been sanded to change the color or repair areas of excessive traffic. We also provide spot repairs and a dustless recoating system that can avoid heavy sanding.
Light noncorrosive wood floor cleaners are typically acceptable for our floors. We always recommend testing a spot for any new cleaning product to determine if there are any adverse effects. Your Design Consultant can provide guidance around any specific cleaning needs.
Maintain 30–50% relative humidity year-round using humidifiers in winter and dehumidifiers in summer. This range protects against excessive shrinkage or swelling in both solid and engineered floors.

Deeper scratches that break through the color layer may require additional guidance and can often be repaired with our touch-up kits. Deeper gouges may require a board replacement, which is why we recommend ordering additional attic stock to keep in storage.
