J.Crew’s Manhattan headquarters embodies the brand’s signature blend of modern polish and timeless craft. For their office interiors, the design team selected Carlisle’s solid Hickory in a custom 4″ x 30″ Chevron pattern—adding structure and movement beneath a minimalist aesthetic. The natural strength of Hickory, paired with Carlisle’s artisan techniques, ensures the floor supports both visual cohesion and daily function in a dynamic commercial setting. 

The floor’s smooth surface and standard edge profile allow the bold Chevron layout to remain the focal point. A custom stain complements the brand’s neutral palette, while a clear extra matte finish provides depth and durability without added shine. It’s a balance of warmth and refinement, bringing understated luxury to every step of the workplace experience. 

With a 3/4″ solid structure and original grade selection, the floor maintains long-term performance across open-plan offices, private meeting rooms, and high-traffic areas. The installation reflects a holistic approach to design—where the floor does more than support the space; it defines it.
