White Oak Floors Ground a Contemporary Mountain Oasis

Project Overview

Nestled along the Cascade Mountains, Alli and Jeramey Devlin transformed a 1970s riverside fixer-upper into their dream home. Inspired by natural light, open windows, and a Japandi-influenced modern aesthetic, they wanted a floor that would feel timeless, cohesive, and warm underfoot.

Carlisle crafted wide plank White Oak in a custom finish that reflects light and enhances the home’s airy palette. The planks flow throughout the open plan, creating a sense of continuity across rooms while complementing Walnut accents, black detailing, and jewel-toned furnishings.

Today, the handcrafted floors serve as the “forever foundation” of the Devlins’ contemporary retreat—a space that balances serenity and style, where every board contributes to a vision years in the making.
