Carlisle wide plank floors are shipped to destinations around the world every day. We work closely with each client to understand their unique delivery timeline, job site specifications, and logistical needs. Whether your floor is headed just down the road or across international borders, our global delivery network ensures your Carlisle custom floor arrives wherever you are. Explore the information below to learn more about the planning, precision, and care that define our delivery process.

Packaged With Care

Like a fine piece of custom furniture, we take great care in the design and fabrication of the packaging which will protect your invest in transit. The flooring will be crated and dead-packed in a spruce wood crate, completely wrapped in moisture protective material and secured with steel bands to minimize movement in transit. This comprehensive packaging process is done by a select team of Carlisle experts and helps ensure damage-free delivery.

Scheduling Your Delivery

When you place an order, you will be partnered with a Carlisle Client Partner who will work with you to schedule the right time for your floors to ship. You will have advance notice of your order shipment date, at least 24 hours notice prior to shipping and from the shipping company, who will contact you in advance to schedule a delivery appointment and approximate arrival time frame. For those clients that need delivery on a specific date and/or time, just ask and we can make it happen.

Delivery Services

Most flooring orders are delivered via a common carrier. Flooring orders of 4,000 square feet or more will be delivered on a flatbed. These trucks are 65 feet long. You will receive more information on the delivery vehicle being used prior to setting up your delivery appointment.

What You Will Need

We will send you or your builder/installer a very detailed instruction sheet outlining everything you will need to plan for delivery. We recommend that have multiple people on hand to unload, clean gloves, tin snips, and adequate space at the project to store the wood. This will help ensure the delivery goes as smooth as possible. If you will be unloading the wood by forklift, on site, please let us know.
