Unstained & Unadulterated: Site Finished Wide Plank Walnut

A rich country chocolate might be a culinary description for the floor in this La Canada, California, home. Owners Keith and Tracy Tobias wanted an overall country feel that also embodied a quiet elegance. This eventually led them to Walnut — a classic and valuable hardwood whose rich chocolate hues can work well in both formal and informal settings.

As seen in the music room, the owners chose to keep their wide plank flooring unstained and unadulterated — the unfinished boards were professionally installed by LJ Floors just as they came from Carlisle. Clear top coats were applied which fully allowed the natural beauty of the predominately dark tones and occasional lighter highlights to express themselves throughout the floor.
