The result is a structure that takes its cues from local vernacular—rooflines, scale, and proportion—while opening to expanses of glass and refined geometry. At the heart of this balance lies the floor underfoot. The design team selected Carlisle’s Rift and Quartersawn White Oak in Weekend Cottage, a finish defined by soft, creamy layers that evoke relaxed elegance and a hint of lived-in nostalgia. Crafted with a delicate balance of warmth and refinement, the tone settles gently into the grain, accentuating the wood’s natural patterns without overpowering them. Installed in long, wide planks, the flooring grounds the modern lines with texture and tonal harmony, bringing visual continuity to open interiors.
