Project Overview

Overlooking the shoreline in Middletown, this oceanfront home blends casual comfort with contemporary lines and 18th-century touches. The owners wanted a floor that would unify these styles while reflecting the home’s light-filled, coastal setting.

Carlisle crafted expansive 12-inch Eastern White Pine planks, finished with a soft whitewash that penetrates deep into the wood. The treatment highlights Pine’s subtle grain and natural character, creating a surface as airy and luminous as sun-bleached sailcloth.

The result is a serene interior grounded by floors that balance relaxed coastal living with timeless elegance.
