Perched on Choctawhatchee Bay, this coastal retreat reflects a careful balance of light, warmth, and natural beauty inspired by the Emerald Coast surroundings. Architect Patrick Ballasch designed the home to maximize stunning water views and abundant natural light — strategically enlarging windows and incorporating reflective surfaces so daylight flows through every space.

To anchor the interior palette and bring a sense of timeless comfort, a custom wide plank wood floor in a light coffee tone was selected to unify the kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, and baths. The warm wood hues provide a subtle counterpoint to soft whites and coastal accents, while the wide widths and long lengths reinforce the home’s airy, open layout.
