Rooted in tradition, solid planks embody the heritage of true hardwood flooring — a single piece of premium wood through and through. Chosen for those who appreciate classic craftsmanship, this structure honors time-honored methods while providing lasting performance.

A versatile balance of clarity and natural variation, creating a refined yet welcoming look. You’ll notice character marks that add warmth without overpowering the overall design. This grade suits rooms where both structure and subtle detail matter.

Original

Embraces the authentic spirit of traditional planks with visible knots, mineral streaks, and lively grain. Designed for those who appreciate rustic character and the natural variation found in early American flooring. This grade brings warmth, texture, and timeless charm to any space.

Our classic 3/4" planks offer added structural weight and a solid, substantial feel, making them the benchmark for wide plank flooring. Valued for their heritage proportions and lasting presence, these planks provide enhanced durability and underfoot comfort for timeless projects.

5/8" Thickness

Designed for versatility, this profile is perfect for areas with limited height or complex construction, offering the same look, durability, and character as traditional planks. Provides the same 4mm wear layer and refinishing potential as 3/4" planks.

Site Finished

Site finishing is the heritage craft at the heart of Carlisle, applied after installation and sanded perfectly smooth to deliver a seamless appearance without beveled edges. This method provides ultimate flexibility in color and sheen, enabling truly custom finishes or the flawless integration of new and existing floors. Often completed at the end of construction, site finishing requires less protection from site damage than pre-finished floors and is especially valuable when exact floor matching or a continuous look is essential.

Pre-Finished

Carlisle pre-finished floors combine the beauty of authentic hardwood with the ease of ready-to-install surfaces, as each board is expertly finished in the factory for maximum durability and a flawless look. With UV oil or protective polyurethane finishes cured before delivery, these planks avoid off-gassing and offer consistent color, allowing for effortless layout planning and a cohesive appearance. Pre-finished flooring minimizes downtime and disruption, providing a high-performance, convenient solution for any space.

Satin (15–20°)

Satin delivers a refined, understated glow that lifts grain and color without appearing glossy. This finish strikes the perfect balance between everyday practicality and elegant presence, bringing out the beauty of the wood in any setting.

Extra Matte (5–10°)

Extra Matte brings a velvet touch, introducing subdued reflection for a modern, organic feel. It envelops interiors in warmth and calm, muting surface shine while deepening the natural tones of wide plank floors.

Super Matte (2–4°)

Super Matte is nearly sheenless, echoing the appearance of freshly sawn wood. It’s the ultimate expression of minimalism—raw, tactile, and authentically organic—ideal for those who desire purity and subtlety above all.
